2016 is going to be the best year to date for us here at Curo Marketing. I am sure this is an obvious statement to make from your point of view but from ours this couldn’t be further from obvious.
The reason being the last 2 years for us have been a real tough slog, we have worked hard, generated solid results (Both for clients and our own business), started and built upon some great relationships, and fully embraced all that a digital agency of our size possibly could.
But why such a slog?
We have worked hard and as hard as this may be to understand we have hardly had a baron spell, I can even take that one step further, we have hardly had what most people would call a quiet week. Which made us begin to question the way in which we operate, the manner of the work we carry out and above all else, to question the business we have created.
In simpler terms, we don’t like the idea of creating a great new website for a client or restoring an AdWords account to former glory and the waving bye to clients and only popping in to see them every “now and again” whilst “we’re passing”. We want to work with a client, get to fully understand their company, the way they work, how they do what they do and then add our expertise into that for mutual gain over a period of years as opposed to the more typical monthly/quarterly projects that is more the norm for agencies like us.
So with that being said 2016 will be a much better year for us as it will see us solidify relationships with many clients to work with them a lot closer and become more involved and more integral to their businesses respectively. We will be refocussing our operation to allow us to work with new clients in this manner and we will no doubt be phasing out ‘fixed bid’ work as we believe there is very little value in this type of work, both for the client and the agency.
