Why are some agencies displaying this Google Partner badge? What does it mean? How does that help me?

All of these questions above are something I am sure you will have asked yourself when you have been considering working with a digital agency. So hopefully we can clear this up and explain what the badge means.

A Google partner is an agency or individual that has been deemed competent by Google for passing a bench mark level of both marketing and product knowledge when it comes to Google products such as Google AdWords, Shopping, Analytics etc.

There are a few requirements outside of the test, those are spend levels. You have to manage more than £10,000 in spend over a 90 day period as well as be consistently working to best practises to ensure that once you have demonstrated your competence you are able to keep to that partner status.

In terms of going through all this effort we are asked all the time whether it is worth putting the time and effort in to achieve this and our answer is always a resounding yes! In terms of time and effort the exams can be done in a few hours. Studying is advised but seeing as how you are working on campaigns on a daily basis there really shouldn’t be much need to be putting endless hours in and the best practises are making sure customers are happy, implementing the latest product releases from Google, and the most obvious but probably the most important aspect in our eyes, making sure work is going into the campaigns regularly and consistently.
